However, now if we can manage to acquire 12 people who can pledge AUD$1,000 each, on the basis of receiving one copy of the final package each, our budget is estimated to drop down to under AUD$15,000.
Please prayerfully consider pledging AUD$1,000 today.

Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs
anatomy of the soul
Have you ever longed to sing the Psalms, to join with the Psalmist in expressing the awe, majesty, grace and forgiveness of God?
God’s Word encourages us to sing Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs in Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16, where the references seem to be taken from the headings given to the 150 Psalms in the Greek Septuagint translation of the Old Testament widely used in Paul's time. But how many of us know how to sing the Hymnbook of the Bible, the Psalms?
The 16th century Reformer John Calvin once wrote of the Psalms: "This book I am wont to style an anatomy of all parts of the soul; for no one will discover in himself a single feeling whereof the image is not reflected in this mirror. Nay, all griefs, sorrows, fears, doubts, hopes, cares, anxieties – in short, all those tumultuous agitations wherewith the minds of men are wont to be tossed – the Holy Ghost hath here represented to the life."
Project Psalms will introduce the Psalms into your personal, family and Public worship with a clear, easy to follow, soul touching voice, along with devotional and contextual notes to edify you to grow in your intimacy with Christ.
While acknowledging our dependence upon the providence of God, we are conscientiously working towards completing the recordings by the middle of 2012
- "Christians should sing the Psalms breathed out by the Holy Spirit of God. The 1650 Psalter was the work of a large number of godly men of the Westminster Assembly and also men from the Church of Scotland at a high point in its history. They worked directly from the inspired Hebrew text into the English language. These recordings of the singing of these metrical Psalms give us far more than mere entertainment. By linking a particular tune to each Psalm, they are of great help to those not skilled in music and to the most reticent of singers. We are indebted to the producers for their labours. Our desire is that this Psalm set will prove a means of encouraging multitudes of Christians to 'sing psalms."
Rev. David Silversides
Pastor, Loughbrickland RPCI, Ulster, UK - "My wife, Susan, and I have long thought something like this should be done. It could be a great benefit to small groups, lacking a skilled precenter, trying to learn and sing the metrical Psalms. We also have a great love for the Scottish Psalter and John Brown of Haddington's notes on such."

"Amazing Grace," "Crown Him With Many Crowns" and many other favourites.
The final package from Project Psalms will include:
. A 15 Audio CD set with the first-ever comprehensive recordings of the metrical Psalms (including 2 versions for 13 of the Psalms) as found in the original Scottish Psalter of 1650 (sung unaccompanied by a professional tenor).. A 4 MP3 CD set with the same recordings but in MP3 format.
. A hard-copy booklet containing the Scottish Psalter of 1650 text and also devotional and contextual notes by John Brown of Haddington.
. A hard-copy booklet containing the sheet music for the tunes used throughout the recordings.
. A soft-copy booklet (on the last MP3 CD) with sheet music and the Scottish Psalter of 1650 text in one PDF for easy reading of both the tune and the text together.
The Scottish Psalter of 1650 has been used as the text and the tunes are primarily found in The Psalms in Meter 1979 split-leaf Psalter.
With the recommendation of people from various denominations across the world in the body of Christ, we believe this to be a much awaited work to re-introduce the Psalms to the heart of every believer to the glory of God.

Our new minimum donation amount required to pre-order a compilation of the project is AUD$500 (equivalent to approximately USD$510, €390, or £316; based on 05-MAY-2011 exchange rates). This was increased from our previous requirement of AUD$94; this is as a result of a new budget plan which has decreased our overall estimated costs for the project from over AUD$27,000 down to approximately AUD$15,000. All donors who pre-ordered prior to the 5th of May 2012 will still receive the physical project compilation delivered to their desired address. Even if the minimum amount of AUD$500 is not affordable, you can still donate towards the completion of the project, without having the physical finished compilation posted to you; however, the final high-quality MP3's along with the soft-copy material, such as sheet music for the tunes and the words of the 1650 Scottish Psalter, produced by Project Psalms, will be available for free download, use, copying, and propogation, by everyone. The only restrictions will be those stipulated under a Creative Commons License selected by Project Psalms, which only requires attribution of the works to Project Psalms, non-commercial use of the works, and non-derivative use of the original works. All donors will be acknowledged in the accompanying text & notes booklet for their contribution to this historic Psalms recording project.
All donations will be under 3rd party assessment by Daniel Scot, Director of Ibrahim Ministries International (imi.org.au).
